Park areas

Daintree National Park (CYPAL) is jointly managed Eastern Kuku Yalanji country: a Mossman Gorge section and a Cape Tribulation coastal strip, separated by settled land. The Daintree River ferry is the vehicle chokepoint, not a third park. Pick the section that matches your day — then open the area guide.

Always verify live alerts on the official Queensland Parks Daintree page.

First half-day: Mossman Gorge — no ferry, shuttle + boardwalks.

Rainforest-meets-reef: Cape Tribulation via the ferry — Kulki + boardwalks.

Serious walkers: Mount Sorrow (Cape) or Manjal Jimalji (Whyanbeel) as the whole day.

Tours around your stay

Optional after you pick a section. Official camping, ferry and shuttle are never affiliated. Kit searches stay on the gear hub.

Guided tours

Optional — useful if you do not want to drive the ferry yourself

A tour does not replace checking Queensland Parks alerts, Be Crocwise, or the ferry yourself.

Some stay, tour and gear links may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Park camping, the Daintree Ferry and the Mossman Gorge shuttle are never affiliated. Affiliate disclosure · Privacy
